HOMECOMING: The TEAM Healthy School Food 2023 Gala is a homecoming... back in person after three years, and back at our favorite location - the New York Academy of Medicine. Get ready to CHEER about our beloved plant-based food-tasting event! Enjoy vegan wine (and other beverages), great entertainment including Bob Miles Jazz Trio, seeing old friends, making new friends, and a DJ and DANCE! All this while supporting our important work. Get ready to score a TOUCHDOWN on our silent auction and raffle. And we'll have gift bags for VIP ticket holders and their guests!!!
The Coalition for Healthy School Food (CHSF) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit that promotes plant-based foods and nutrition education in schools, to teach the whole school community about the effect of our food choices on health, the environment, equity, and other social justice issues. We depend on your support to provide services to schools that can not pay. It's not just the kids we educate. Over and over again, teachers and parents wonder why they've never heard the information we are giving them. Our message is simple and it is clear. We are largely in charge of our own health destiny, and the more whole plant foods we eat, the healthier we'll be. We work with schools to change their menus, and for the parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and food service personnel, we share recipes, have family dinner nights with cooking demos, talks by medical professionals, and more to help people create real change at home.
